She’s proving that women can do what men do while doing the one thing they can’t.
Meet Julia Sharpe, 27, a competitive gymnast who also happens to be a mom.

Here she is doing dips while 35 weeks (that’s eight months) pregnant.
Sharpe has been training as a gymnast for 25 years. Oh, and she competes against men.

She switched to men’s competitions in 2012 when she was an undergrad at MIT and discovered that the league rules would allow her to compete for either gender’s team. She wanted to try competing under rules for men’s competition, which are more challenging.
Sharpe told The Cut that she trained as much as she could throughout her pregnancy so that she could get back to the gym once she gave birth.

While she did have to stop certain moves, Sharpe continued training safely with swimming, yoga, and walking to keep up her strength.
Six weeks after giving birth via C-section, Sharpe was back in the gym.
